Tasting Room Menus
Do I need to make a booking?
We are a small venue with limited capacity so bookings are highly recommended to ensure we can give you the best experience. You can make a booking online or call our team to book.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from 10:00am until 5:00pm seven days a week, with last flight and food orders at 4.30pm.
See below for public holiday information.
Are you open on Public Holidays?
Our Tasting Room is closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Australia Day.
On other public holidays, we will be open from 11am until 4pm, operating with a limited menu and no wine flights. A 15% surcharge applies to all on premise purchases on public holidays. These tend to be very busy days so bookings are recommended.
Why can I only book for up to 8 people online?
Unfortunately due to capacity and staffing constraints, we cap our group size at 8 people for weekend afternoons when we are at our busiest. If you are in a larger group and would like to visit us for a wine tasting, we do offer these in the mornings.
For weekday visits, please contact us as we may be able to offer more flexibility.
How do your group bookings work?
We welcome groups between 9 to 35 people for a one hour tasting in the morning at either 10.00am, 10.30am or 11.00am. This is a slightly more casual and relaxed format than our usual seated flight offering. We require credit card details to secure the booking and the full fee is processed to this card on the morning of your booking. This fee is not redeemable on purchase or refundable if your numbers change after your final confirmation.
The booking form says there are no spots available. Why is this?
Online bookings are available up to 24 hours in advance for wine flights and casual visits and 48 hours for a group tasting. There may also be no vacancies if we have a large number of bookings arriving at the same time or if we are closed. You can call our team during business hours to help you find a suitable time.
Is the cost of my flight redeemable on purchases?
Our wine flights are not redeemable on purchase. Each flight includes 4 generous pours, equivalent of 1.5 standard glasses, and are hosted by our knowledgeable tasting room team who will guide you through each wine and provide a high level of interaction and engagement.
Do you have a restaurant on-site?
No, we do not have a restaurant but we do offer an all-day grazing menu which features a range of high quality produce which is sourced predominantly from local suppliers. There are enough options to pull together a light lunch but if you are after something more substantial, please feel free to get in touch and we can offer recommendations of venues nearby.
Does your all-day grazing menu cater to dietary requirements?
We cater for most common dietaries, such as Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan. We may be able to accommodate specific allergies or dietary issues but would recommend checking our menu in advance and contacting us if you need clarification.
Is the tasting room family-friendly?
Children are welcome at our cellar door. However, please note that Deviation Road is a working property. For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that children remain under close supervision at all times.
We also welcome dog visitors to our tasting room. We do ask that you let us know in your booking that you have a dog and that they remain on a leash while on site. Our friendly resident wine dog, Aggie, the Hungarian Vizsla may also stop by to say hello so it’s important that your dog is well socialised.
Can I hire your venue for a private event?
We no longer host wedding or evening events but we do have a private Green Room space which is perfect for corporate events or smaller celebrations with a capacity of up to 45 people.
The space has a number of flexible set up options and includes a private indoor room and adjoining outdoor deck which overlooks the main tasting room grounds and vineyards. It is available for both half day and full day hire. Please note that the Green Room is not suitable for groups which include children under the age of 16. More information about our private function options is available here.
Do you offer accommodation?
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in the Adelaide Hills, we offer boutique accommodation on-site at Loftia Cottage. For more information and to make a booking view the listing on AirBnB.
